Lavender and Blue

Lavender and blue – who knew they went together?

I am not a huge fan of the color purple – or cobalt blue for that matter – so the thought of pairing the two together never occurred to me.

However, I recently came across pictures of designer Madeline Weinrib’s Manhattan apartment in an issue of Elle Décor, and have since changed my mind.

I am in LOVE with the way she uses various shades of lavender and blue, highlighted by graphic black and white accents. Not only does she unexpectedly combine these colors, but she mixes her art and accessories into an eclectic combination of ethnic, contemporary and antiquity.

In fact, I am so in love with the soft and sophisticated color palette that I am planning my next room around it…or at least my next pillow.

In true Madeline Weinrib fashion, I have selected not only lavender and blue accent pieces, but black and white accents for your interior styling. All of these products are available for purchase online.

Happy decorating!
