Artists We Love: Debbie Baxter

Artists We Love: Debbie Baxter

Today’s featured artist is extremely dear to me. She is a designer of stunningly beautiful spaces. She is a gifted composer of proportion, style, texture and culture. She is an energetic, curious, spunky and gifted woman and artist. And, she has been a true inspiration and mentor to me for the six years that I have known her. Debbie Baxter is the creative force behind the San Antonio based Interior Design Firm, Baxter Design Group, and I am thrilled to share some of her work today.

Having studied and practiced Interior Design for over 30 years, Debbie’s work is infused with the colors and textures of her travels and experiences. Her spaces are both exquisite and intimate and pay attention to even the smallest details. Her combinations of rich color and pattern are so thoughtful and unexpected, adding depth, warmth and personality to each and every interior. And, her love for the most beautiful assortments of treasures and antiques has led to rooms filled with character, culture and extreme beauty. She has a gifted eye for all things design and is unafraid to try new things. I admire her very much and am so thankful to have had the opportunity to learn from her.

Please enjoy these enchanting spaces created by Debbie and the lovely ladies of Baxter Design Group.

Lovely! I really love the TV wall in the first picture and the orange art over the big white fireplace! I’m feeling a little vulnerable about my awkward living room now! 🙂

What a fabulous post Melanie! I am so happy you chose to write about Debbie Baxter. She is an awesome mentor and a great business woman. Because of her, I have grown significantly as a designer, and continue to use the skills she has taught me with my design business in Vermont.
