Blogging twice in the same day is absolutely unheard of for me…but, this could not wait. Today is our mom and dad’s anniversary; the celebration of 38 wonderful years of marriage – wow! Consequently, it was an absolute must for me to pull together a handful of awesome photos.
My sisters and I are truly blessed to have such great parents. And, the older I get, the more I appreciate everything they’ve taught me and the many gifts I’ve inherited from those pretty great genes. Thanks mom and dad!
While our parents are extremely different in their personalities, I love looking back at old photos of them and seeing how in love they are with one another. They really are truly awesome parents and I look forward to watching them celebrate many more anniversaries!
I’ve never had a hard time remembering their anniversary date – after all, it is April Fool’s Day. When I was really young I remember asking my mom why they picked that date. She explained to me that April 1, 1972 was the first day of their Spring Break – a week of vacation from classes and the perfect opportunity to travel for their Honeymoon.
