Holy Cow. I am so excited to share the work of today’s featured artist. Emily Wheat Maynard is the Kentucky-based designer behind the stunning Elva Fields jewelry line.
Her necklaces are brilliantly bold and creative while her earring designs are sweet, charming and perfect. From her sourcing adventures throughout an array of markets, auctions and specialty shops, she beautifully combines an eclectic mix of vintage and antique treasure with brilliantly selected beading and design style to create the most unique and striking pieces. They are colorful, energetic and witty and most definitely unique statement pieces.

Emily holds undergraduate degrees in both French and Art History from Hollins University, a Masters from The Bard Graduate Center for Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture and she has studied ancient metalworking at the Jewelry Arts Institute in Manhattan. It is no wonder that her work so beautifully juxtaposes various eras, styles, textures and colors. She created the Elva Fields Jewelry line in 2003, and named each of her 3 collections, Elva, June and Deb, after the leading ladies of her family: her great grandmother, grandmother and mother. As her website states, her work is a combination of “the study of jewelry and the creation of it.”
I adore her designs. Please take a peek at her website and blog to learn even more about her background and custom designs!
Have a wonderful weekend!
