Blackwood Land is an unbelievably beautiful and sustainable farm, located just outside of Houston in Hempstead, TX. They believe in teaching the importance of healthy food, a healthy lifestyle, and a healthy community. They are an educational institute that hosts workshops, trainings, and retreats for both adults and children alike. They are one of the top producers of some of the most wholesome fruits and vegetables in Southeast Texas. And, with their newest addition of Longspoon Catering, they are a full service event venue, hosting a variety of on-site events as well as in-house cooking classes.
I was so incredibly thrilled when I was asked to help style and design images for the new Blackwood Land website recently. I spent an entire day (or two) with the amazingly gifted Taylor Lord, arranging flowers, chasing down chickens, and styling fresh produce…almost all of which came entirely straight from the land itself. Within a brief instant, I fell completely in love with this beautiful land and space, and the mission that they stand firm in.
