Today’s featured artist is absolutely intriguing to me! Her work is creative in the most energetic, colorful and charismatic ways and absolutely unique to the core. It is beautiful, whimsical and quirky…and overflowing with personality. And, on top of all this, it is extremely technical. I have stumbled across the work of the truly talented Lisa Mittler several times recently, and each time had to stop in my tracks.
With several degrees under her belt, her background and artistic training is extensive and diverse, which helps to explain how she can embrace such an array of varied artistic mediums including fabric, film and metal, just to name a few. She has dubbed herself a fiber artist, metal sculptor and photographer…but I am convinced that she is so much more. Her work embraces so many different styles and techniques, and manipulates color & energy in such a way that each completed work can’t help but draw you in.
