We met Shannon & Jason during an Open House event at Vintage Villas in Austin. They were two months out from their wedding and struggling to pull all of the pieces together. In a bit of a panic to finalize the details, they brought Mayhar on board to help define style direction & décor selections and to assist with event orchestration. After visiting with Shannon for a very brief time, it was clear that the vision for her wedding revolved around two specific words…”Pink” and “Tuscan.” Being of HUGE fan of both words, I was thrilled with the concept! We made some quick tweaks to the overall design and got to work!
In the end, we were able to collaborate with a wonderful team of vendors. Florals were created by the gifted Donna Foster from the Central Market Floral Department; the beautiful (and unbelievably yummy) cakes were artistically crafted by the amazing Olga Lee of Polkadots Cupcake Factory; and the incredible catering services were provided by Vintage Villas, led by the wonderful Lauren Allen.
In addition, we were able to add many custom Mayhar touches.Hand-made floral programs that doubled as fans were created to help with the Summer heat; rose petals were held in cones wrapped from Under the Tuscan Sun book pages, and various pillows, frames and vases were sewn, yarn-wrapped & crafted to add small splashes of color & décor.
It was such a joy working with Jason and Shannon and helping to bring everything together. We hope you enjoy!
