My husband and I took a little mini trip to Nashville this past March, and I am still blown away by how much I loved it! From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by sweet Southern charm, kind hearted country folk and some of the best down home cooking I’ve ever had! I mean, I am a huge fan of the TV show and ADORE country dancing, but I had no idea how much I would love this sweet city. I cannot recommend it enough!!
As this was our first trip to Nashville, we really wanted to see some of the bigger, touristy spots. Below is the popular Bluebird Café as well as images from our stop by the Country Music Hall of Fame. I was so impressed with the Hall of Fame and how each and every piece of history was thoughtfully and lovingly displayed in sequential order from the very start of country music’s beginnings. Additionally, the design of the building and its interior was truly exquisite…it was a perfect backdrop to the sweet musical story it told.
Below are images from our visit to the Grand Ole Opry House, as well as Ryman Auditorium. The infamous radio show, the Grand Ole Opry, was originally recorded within the walls of Ryman Auditorium, but was later moved to the newer current Grand Ole Opry House Building. We were not able to go into the Opry House building, but fell in love with the Ryman! Each nook and cranny seemed to be filled with the energy and spirit of the many gifted artists that have and still do walk the halls and grace the stage.
Previously a Nashville Train Station, the Union Station Hotel oozed charm and character. The lobby was gloriously detailed, the rooms extremely comfortable and quaint and the service was lovely. We ended up staying here for one night, and just loved it!
Oh my goodness. I could go on and on. She is a simply delightful city. We are excited to pop back by sometime.
