New Product: Lavenders

We’ve been so busy crafting and creating, that we are thrilled to finally unveil our newest product line – Lavenders. These petite pillows are filled with locally-grown, Texas lavender. We wanted to offer something that had the “Mayhar” style to it, but was something that would be a nice gift beyond weddings and special events.

Our Lavenders come two per order, and are currently available in three patterns: Dragonfly, Sequin Circle and Starburst. Additionally, you may select between shades of Aqua, Green, Neutral, Pink or Violet. For more information, or to purchase, you may visit the Lavenders page of our website.

We absolutely love getting photos back from the brides and vendors who order product from us. I cannot even explain my excitement when I saw the following photos from Nichole Weddings & Events, photographed by Christie Pham Photography. Hawaii is such a gorgeous location for a wedding, and these images from the wedding are nothing short of spectacular.

Painted Kitchen Cabinets

If you have read any of my previous blog entries, you might have caught on to my love for white kitchens. It is traditional, timeless and beautiful. Lately, though, I am enjoying the look of kitchen cabinets painted in a soft and soothing color.

Grey is being used a lot in home design and is a beautiful neutral color for your cabinets.

I love blues and I have different shades of blue throughout my home. These blue kitchen cabinets are lovely and inviting.

Green has been a really fun color used this Spring in both fashion and home décor. Why not use a fun shade of green on your kitchen cabinets?!

On Display

When my husband and I got married, almost 8 years ago (how time flies), we registered for plain white dishes. I love having white dishes because you can go so many different directions when decorating your table for different events. Over the years, I have also collected random dishes from places like Anthropologie, flea markets, as gifts and from my grandmother, each with its own fun design and color. A fun way to display all these dishes is by hanging open shelving on an empty wall.

If you don’t have an empty wall for shelves, you can replace some of your kitchen cabinets with glass door fronts or even just leave the cabinet doors off.

Why hide those dishes behind the doors of your kitchen cabinets when you can put them on display? It is a fun way to spice up your kitchen with color and adds so much character to the space. I hope these images inspire you to pull those fun plates, bowls and coffee cups out where everyone can see.

Vintage Villas Open House

Last weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to showcase at an open house at Vintage Villas in Austin, Texas. This was our first time at the venue, and we hope it isn’t our last because it is so lovely! The views are tremendous, overlooking Lake Travis. Additionally, the landscaping is beautiful and the staff is so delightful.

Thank you to Daniel C Photography for the wonderful photos. It was such a pleasure to meet so many brides and grooms, and to meet nearly a dozen fabulous Austin wedding vendors!
